Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Industrial Engineering, Work Study, Apparel Manufacturing or a related field
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in apparel manufacturing
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct work studies and establish Standard Minute Values (SMVs) for all garment categories
- Conduct time studies, method studies and operation breakdowns to improve productivity
- Evaluate Cost of Making (CM) quotations against approved SMVs and costing standards
- Identify production inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Visit manufacturing facilities to validate SMVs and assess production methods
- Maintain accurate SMV and CM databases and prepare management reports
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Technical, QA, Planning and Operations teams
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing operations, time studies and SMV calculations
- Understanding of garment CM costing and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, communication and coordination skills
