- Supports the Safety Officer in implementing safety programs and procedures

Qualifications & Experience
Trainee Safety Officer / Assistant Safety Officer
- Passed G.C.E. (O/L) with minimum required passes (usually English and Mathematics preferred)
- Completed a basic safety course or holding a Diploma in Safety (or currently following a recognized diploma)
- Willing to learn and grow in the field of occupational health and safety
Safety Officer
- Completed a recognized Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent qualification, or a relevant professional qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or other recognized qualifications)
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
Trainee Safety Officer / Assistant Safety Officer
- Support the Safety Officer in implementing safety programs and procedures
- Assist in site inspections, risk assessments and toolbox meetings
- Help maintain safety records and documentation
- Promote a safe working environment and safety awareness among workers
Safety Officer
- Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures and programs
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and recommend control measures
- Conduct safety training and toolbox talks
- Maintain safety records and ensure legal compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture among all staff and workers
Required Skills
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude (Trainee / Assistant)
- Good knowledge of safety regulations and standards (Safety Officer)
- Strong communication and leadership skills (Safety Officer)
