Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma, NVQ or technical qualification in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering; Quality Management or a related field will be an advantage
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in Quality Control, Automobile, Vehicle Interior, Upholstery, Manufacturing or a related field is preferred
- Practical knowledge of vehicle interiors and finishing standards will be a strong advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle interior customization work at different stages of production to ensure required quality standards are maintained
- Check workmanship, fitment, finishing and appearance of seat covers, carpets, soundproofing, headliners, window films and other interior modifications
- Identify and report defects and non-conformities and ensure timely corrective action by the relevant production team
- Conduct final quality inspections of completed vehicles before delivery and ensure all identified issues are properly rectified
- Verify rework and corrective actions and approve completed work only when it meets ECW quality standards
- Maintain QC records, checklists and inspection reports, while monitoring recurring defects and rework
- Work closely with production teams and supervisors to improve workmanship, reduce defects and maintain consistent quality standards
Required Skills
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify workmanship, fitment and finishing defects
- Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with production teams
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to maintain QC records, checklists and reports
