Tea Jar Lounge Colombo, Sri Lanka’s newest premium tea and dining destination by Tea Jar Ceylon, is looking for passionate, energetic and talented individuals to join its opening team. The lounge combines world-class Ceylon tea, specialty coffee, exceptional cuisine and warm hospitality. Three positions are open: Pastry Commis I, Commis III and Kitchen Helper.

Qualifications & Experience
Pastry Commis I
- Previous experience in pastry or bakery operations is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of baking and pastry preparation
Commis III
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
Kitchen Helper
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations is an advantage
Key Responsibilities
Pastry Commis I
- Assist in preparing cakes, pastries, desserts, and bakery items
- Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry section
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and finished products
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Commis III
- Assist chefs with daily food preparation and cooking
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and instructions
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
- Ensure proper storage of food items and ingredients
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Kitchen Helper
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and other ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
- Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils
Required Skills
- Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn (Pastry Commis I)
- Ability to work well in a team (all roles)
- Willingness to work flexible shifts (Commis III and Kitchen Helper)
- Hardworking, responsible, and team-oriented (Kitchen Helper)
