Qualifications & Experience
- 2nd stage or higher in CIMA, ACCA or CA Sri Lanka is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field will be an added advantage
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the apparel sector
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports to support business decision-making
- Monitor budgets, forecasts and financial plans in line with company objectives
- Perform cost analysis and profitability evaluations of product lines, brands and SKUs
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments
- Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improvements
- Conduct variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) and present findings to senior management
- Assist in pricing decisions, inventory valuation and margin analysis
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards
- Implement financial models and tools to streamline planning and reporting processes
- Prepare tax schedules on a monthly basis and ensure timely submission to the Inland Revenue Department
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management and financial reporting
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a challenging environment
