Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in workshop management or a similar role in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of vehicle modification, customization and general automotive workshop operations
- Experience managing teams, multiple departments and project workflows
- Knowledge of quality control, safety standards and workshop processes
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and oversee all workshop operations, ensuring productivity, quality and timely completion of projects
- Allocate work, set daily targets and monitor work progress across all departments
- Ensure efficient use of manpower, equipment, materials and workshop facilities
- Maintain quality, safety and 5S standards in all workshop activities
- Supervise, guide and develop workshop staff, including technicians and supervisors
- Coordinate with Production, Technical, Sales and other departments to ensure smooth project execution and resolve operational issues
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce turnaround time and enhance customer satisfaction
Required Skills
- Good problem-solving, decision-making and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills in English and Sinhala (Tamil will be an advantage)
