Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in student counselling, education consultancy or the international education industry
- Proven experience handling Singapore and Malaysia university/institution admissions
- Hands-on experience with Singapore and Malaysia Student’s Pass applications and procedures is mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or an equivalent qualification
- Proficiency in local languages is an advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students on study opportunities in Singapore and Malaysia, including institutions, courses, entry requirements and career pathways
- Understand students’ academic backgrounds and career goals and recommend suitable study options
- Manage the end-to-end student admission process, from initial counselling and application submission through to enrolment
- Coordinate with Singapore and Malaysia universities and private education institutions regarding admissions, offers and student documentation
- Handle Student’s Pass applications and related documentation through the relevant processes
- Ensure student applications and supporting documents are accurate, complete and submitted within required timelines
- Follow up on admission applications, offer letters, Student’s Pass applications and other pending documentation
- Maintain regular communication with students, parents, institutions and relevant stakeholders
Required Skills
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of Singapore and Malaysia’s universities/private education institutions, courses and admission procedures
- Strong understanding of Student’s Pass documentation and application procedures
- Excellent counselling, communication, follow-up and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple student applications simultaneously
- Strong teamwork, coordination and organisational skills
- Ability to work towards individual and team targets
