Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in an engineering discipline from a recognised institution
- 3-5 years of experience in a production, planning or industrial engineering role
- Experience in a CNC machining environment is a strong advantage
- Age below 35 years
Key Responsibilities
- Build daily, weekly and monthly production plans and machine-loading schedules for CNC, lathe and milling machines
- Lead and coordinate machine operators to meet output, quality and delivery targets
- Deal with buyers on order requirements, delivery dates and schedule changes
- Work with purchasing, stores and quality so materials, tools and drawings are ready before jobs start
- Monitor work-in-progress against plan, flag bottlenecks early and re-plan as priorities shift
- Maintain production data and KPIs in the ERP system and report on progress
- Train and develop members of the production team
- Uphold quality standards and all safety, environmental and company regulations on the shop floor
Required Skills
- Ability to read engineering and industrial drawings and specifications
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) are mandatory
- Confidence working in an ERP-based environment
- Clear communication, a positive attitude and the ability to juggle several priorities as a team player
