ZPMC Lanka Company is a BOI-approved company and a joint venture between Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Company Limited of the People’s Republic of China (ZPMC), a world’s leading port equipment and heavy machinery manufacturer, and Access Engineering PLC of Sri Lanka.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, HND, or an equivalent qualification
- An MBA or Diploma in marketing (e.g., SLIM or other recognized marketing qualifications) will be considered an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales, marketing or business development in an industrial, port equipment or heavy machinery environment, or any equivalent qualification
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the technical sales team, setting targets and monitoring performance
- Oversee the collection of spare parts requirements from container terminals and ensure the selection of the most suitable parts in consultation with engineers
- Review and approve cost calculations, pricing and quotations before they are submitted to customers, in line with company margins and policies
- Monitor tender status, orders and supplier communication to ensure timely follow-up
- Oversee logistics, shipping and delivery (local and international), and ensure payments are followed up and collected on time
- Ensure ZPMC SAP data (orders, deliveries, stock) is accurate and up to date
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports, forecasts and budgets to top management
