Qualifications & Experience
- Qualification in Interior Design, Furniture Design or a related field
- Experience in furniture manufacturing, interior fit-outs or quality control
Key Responsibilities
- Review furniture designs, technical drawings and specifications before production
- Monitor furniture manufacturing processes and workmanship
- Conduct quality inspections during production and before delivery
- Ensure accuracy in dimensions, materials, finishes, upholstery and detailing
- Coordinate with carpenters, upholsterers, polishers and production teams
- Identify manufacturing defects and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure finished products meet approved designs, samples and client expectations
- Assist with material selection, furniture detailing and product development
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of timber, veneers, laminates, upholstery, hardware and finishing techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp or similar design software is an advantage
Salary & Benefits
Salary / consultancy fee: negotiable based on experience.
