Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field; possessing an MBA would be an added advantage
- A minimum 10-12 years of Shipping/Logistic work experience, out of which 5-7 years in a managerial position in a relevant field
- Strong knowledge of logistic procedures and awareness on import/export policy changes
- Age below 45 years
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for overall shipping/vessel operation and responsible for bank and corporate guarantee clearance
- Handling delivery of import and export shipments
- Evaluate and negotiate freight and clearing quotations with service providers and prioritize them as per business demands
- Develop and implement effective and efficient shipping strategy
- Liaise with warehouses to ensure swift and timely movement of inbound logistics from origin to destination
- Coordinate and maintain the relationship with government authorities, local shipping communities and other related external and internal parties
- Preparation of comprehensive MIS reports and monthly shipment movement reports
- Should have a solid knowledge of shipping TIEP and custom related documents
