Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in managing Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) activities
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations, risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety management systems
- Experience in telecommunications infrastructure, construction, electrical installations, or other high-risk work environments would be an added advantage
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and relevant health and safety standards would be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
EHS Management
- Develop and maintain EHS policies, SOPs, and safety management systems for telecommunications infrastructure projects, site rollouts, and maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and industry standards, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and requirements covering high-risk activities such as working at heights, electrical safety, RF radiation, and lifting operations
- Manage contractor and subcontractor safety through onboarding, compliance monitoring, field audits, inspections, and safety training
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, conduct root-cause analyses, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and support pre-sales activities through EHS documentation and RFI/RFP responses
Quality Management
- Oversee end-to-end telecommunications project delivery, including network provisioning, service rollouts, and project handovers
- Establish and maintain quality assurance and quality control standards in line with applicable telecommunications regulations and technical requirements
- Monitor service delivery performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and client quality expectations
- Lead investigations into network outages, service disruptions, and critical customer escalations, conducting root-cause analyses (RCA) and coordinating with service providers, engineering teams, and client stakeholders to resolve issues
