Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or procurement and supply from a reputed university
- Part qualification in CIM is preferred
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the retail industry as a Commercial and Procurement or Purchasing Executive, preferably in the supermarket sector
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities including sourcing, ordering, purchasing, supplier selection and contract negotiations
- Negotiate pricing, discounts, offers, payment terms and service agreements with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company
- Ensure optimum stock levels are maintained while minimising overstocking, wastage and stock shortages by placing timely and accurate orders
- Oversee inventory planning and manage supplier delivery schedules and service quality standards
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of the commercial and procurement process in the retail business industry, especially in the supermarkets
- Good knowledge and skills in MS Excel
- Working experience in cloud-based applications such as SharePoint
- Very good fluency in English to deal with UK-based stakeholders
